Overview

  • Conducted in-depth user research with high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) in Singapore and Hong Kong in order to understand their usage habits, needs, wants to inform the positioning and designs of DBS Asian Insights — a DBS finance news service for HNWIs.

Challenges & Solutions

  • The most interesting result of this research was that HNWIs in Hong Kong and Singapore tended to be middle-aged professionals who were rather conservative in terms of digital news consumption. Care was given to subsequent design recommendations to ensure the solution was straightfoward and familiar enough for these users to interact comfortably while providing the right level of personalization to maintain their interest.
